Football Time! Calallen Fightin' Wildcats squashed the buzzin' Hornets in their nest. Score 29-22. Ryan Duke passed for two scores to Sean Hoelscher and Steven Vidaurri. James Bateman scored once and Ryan Duke plowed into the end zone for a score. Top Calallen Defender Jeramie Marek turned Wide receiver made some awesome and fantastic catches and finished with 110 yards in 6 receptions. Hornets lost when it couldn't cover the arsenal (weapons) of the Calallen Fightin' Wildcats.

Ryan Duke, quarterback fires a pass for a completion. Ryan had one touchdown, fired for two touchdown passes, (Hoelscher & Vidaurri) and handed-off to James Bateman who scored a touchdown.

With about 27 seconds left on the 1st Half, Ryan Duke rifled a pass to #35 Sean Hoelscher. At the half the Hornets led 10-7.

Trailing 10-7 at halftime, Ryan Duke drilled the football to Steven Vidaurri. Steven made some cuts, and successfully outran the Hornet defenders and scored the go-ahead touchdown, and with 7:42 left in the game, .

Catch of the Night, Ryan Duke drilled a pass to wide receiver Jeramie Marek, overshot Marek by about one yard, Jeramie lunged, finger-tipped caught the football, somersaulted, and sprung up, holding the football in the Air. Awesome catching performance Jeramie Marek, and your evening's work was 110 yards on 6 receptions.

Senior Ryan Duke plays best when he is pressured, the Hornets were rushing him, but Ryan was firing and his targets receiving. Duke had 17 of 34 completions for 211 yards and no interceptions.

The Hornets were fired up, and moved the football downfield.	Time out to discuss a few things. The Hornets were moving the ball fairly easy.

Wildcats run into the field, and are now returning to the bench.	# 45 David Sellers meets with #9 Mark Soto, #44 Ian Soderqvist, and #58 John Egan, and they discuss the options for the start of the 2nd Half.

The Flour Bluff Defense holds the Calallen Offense, The Dynamic Duo attemts the field goal, the football goes wide. Score remains 10-7 Hornets.	The Wildcats defense is just as effective, Cody, Hunter, Stefan, David, Steven and Chance all swarm the Hornet runner.
David Sellers stops the runner, here comes #22 freshman Hunter Whetsel to assist on the takedown. #13 Anthony Alcantar is also rushing in to assist.	Chance Schneider halts the forword progress and here come Hunter again to assist on the take down.

Blocking # 68 Mark Perry, 6' 4", 230 pounds is hard, but the Cats get the job done.	The Wildcats back on defense, and down to the turf comes the Hornet.
The Hornets know trying the middle is like running into a stone wall. There's Kris and Hunter	So the Hornets try a sweep, the qb goes down, but he laterals to the running back, and he doesn't go much farther, as the Wildcats Defense swarm the Hornet.
Ryan Duke looks down field, but #3 R.J. Long catches up and sacks Ryan.	Calallen gang tackles the FB Hornet runner. #88 Alan Ford checks for a possible loose ball.
The Hornets are on a drive. The Secondary bring the Hornet to a halt.	I will take a picture of Connor Lowrance football boy and give the Wildcats luck.
Sure enough. The Wildcat's defense held and the Hornets had to punt.	FB #7 Josh Brunemeier leading 10-7 is dancing and waving for Flour Bluff Noise.
Wildcat cannot hold on to the pass.	Josh Rowden Punts away. #2 La Darlus Evens is blocked.
Flour Bluff goes 3 and out, and punts.	Jeramie Marek receives the punt.
Jeramie reverses his field.	#1 Mathew Garza is tackled on the other side of the field. Matt was 4-30 yards tonight.
Rylan Duke hits Steven Vidaurri. Steven coming toward me, on the 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1...,	Touchdown. The Wildcats were in the lead, and did not relinquished the lead. (See large photo above.)

Flour Bluff goes three and out, and punt.	Ryan under pressure fires to Marek, and a first down.
Marek with the ball is chased...,	and down he goes.
later, and a longer pass play from Ryan to Jeramie, over his head, lunges, brings it in with his fingers, somersault and comes up with the football in air -- Completed. Play of the evening.
Wildcats on a drive, James Bateman is in the game. First Down!	Ryan Duke on the keeper is stopped.
#30 James Bateman receives the handoff from Ryan, on the five, the four...,	three, two, one -- Touchdown! James Bateman.
Bateman makes the turn in the end zone as the referee signals touchdown.	Connors check the score on the score board Calallen 21-10. FB Fans start to leave the stands.
But the Hornets are still in the game. QB Long connects with Ryan Flowers, and the score is 21-16 in favor of the Mighty and Fightin' Wildcats.	Bateman blocks, and Ryan Duke goes in for a touchdown from the 4-yard line, thus completing a 74 yard drive by the Wildcats. (Black and white, photo because camera battery was dying. Lost 15 photos of the drive a few after the td by Ryan, before I had a chance to replace the battery.)
The fans started to empty their stands. They knew it was going to be a Calallen Victory.	There it is the final score 29-22, the Wildcats Triumps!
Coach Danaher has a few words for the team during the post game de-briefing.	#86 senior Billy Owens was injured during the game. We hope he will be okay.
Flour Bluff has many players in Varsity. I couldn't see the Wildcats because of Hornets all over.
Time for the post game gallery. This is one fine looking family.	Meanwhile back at the de-briefing Coach Danaher is wrapping up the meeting.

Andrew Flores and parents and brother 2006 graduate Paul Flores. Andrew played one fine game.	Chance Schneider and family. Chance was playing with intensity, and one reason the Wildcats prevailed.
I can remember when Cody was a freshman, a big freshman, and had the potential and did make Varsity. And his family.	Senior Billy Owens played awesome last week against Alice, and was on his way against Flour Bluff, an injury caused him to sit out the rest of the game.
