Football Time! Summary of the game:
Calallen Wildcats corral the Laredo United Longhorns. 31-24.
# 3 Kindred McClure rushed for a 157 yards, and scored three touchdowns. Senior Ryan Duke also scored one touchdown as the Wildcats rolled to a 31-24 victory. Laredo United a 2005 Class 5A quarterfinals in the playoffs appear to be headed in the same direction. Some of the Longhorn offensive line players were 300 lbs, 295 lbs, and 280 lbs. With such a fortress wall, the Wildcats were in a battle, with perserverance, the Wildcats triumped.
Last week, Skylar Hoelscher led the defense with some outstanding defense and a spectacular 85-yard Touchdown Run.
This week, Sean Hoelscher, his big brother, played an awesome defense, and he blocked a field goal, and tackled the qb Alvaro Garcia in the End Zone for a Safety, making the score 31-24,
The offense continues to look good, and the young re-loading defense continues to improve. This next Friday, the Wildcats will travel to Mission and play at the La Joya Football Stadium. Be there, we need the support.

With 2:49 in the second quarter, the Wildcats take the lead 12 -7, the two point conversion fails again.	Longhorn #10 senior Ryan Bender, WO, makes a nice cut around the corner and a First Down.

Marek once agains return the ball past midfield.	The Longhorns are still in the game, a five point lead over the Longhorns.
Longhorns were threatening to score, but miscues on their part moved them back, and again.	#9 Kris Guerrero and 14 Kenneth Rosas were playing a good defense in the secondary of the longhorns because qb Alvaro Garcia was throwing some good passes.

The Longhorns is tackled.	#9 Kris Guerrero cleverly eludes the block and moves in to go after the runner. Great move Kris!
McClure just kept piling on the yards.	#54 senior Sidney Flores makes sure McClure didn't loose the football.

The Wildcats go for the score or a first down, and if they didn't make it, the Longhorns would get the ball on the 2, and their goal line was 98 yards away. Gutsy call by Coach Danaher. The Wildcats were short. Longhorns take over. Next defensive play, Sean Hoelscher tackled qb Garcia in the End Zone.
On Side kick by the Longhorns, Calallen recovers.	The Gutsy call by Coach Danaher paid off, no wonder he is # 3 in the list of the Most Winningest Coaches of Texas.
