Football Time!

The Calallen Wildcats take on the Moody Magic and Laredo Nixon at our field. Now, they didn't really play two scrimmages as session time was cut in half, and instead of two quarters game simulation, the Wildcats scrimmaged each team one quarter instead of two.

Calallen vs Laredo Nixon:(scrimmage) The Offense was well balanced and scores through air and ground total six. (2 td runs by Kindred. M.cClure -- qbs. Ryan Duke fired for two tds, and Kenneth Rosas fired for the final 2.)

The Cal Defense tweaked up from last week, shut out Laredo, and intercepted the football five times.

Laredo Nicon vs Moody: (scrimmage) LN: 7 scores Moody 3.

Calallen vs Moody. (scrimmage)

'Cats offense: QB Ryan Duke found the Moody's pass defense to his liking as he drilled 3-td passes. Two were caught by Steven Viduarri, Back qb Jeramy Marek replaced Duke, and he had two fine qb keepers for tds, one for 10 yards and the other, he scampered 40 big ones for the score. Final score 5-0.

The tweaked defense shut out Laredo Nixon. They are about 90% ready, they rush, they sack the qb, and they cause fumbles and Interceptions. Coach Steve Campbell and staff are doing just fine bringing up the young defense.

GAME SIMULATION:

Calallen chose Ryan Duke in the one quarter to qb against Laredo Nixon, and selected Kenneth Rosas to qb the other one quarter game against Moody. Game 1: Ryan Duke called a good game. Leading 7-0 and 2:05 time in the game. Laredo Nixon scored against our defense. Game tied 7-7. With 2:00 minutes left, Senior Ryan Duke threw the bomb and it was caught and the receiver scored, extra point good, and the Wildcats went ahead 14-7.

The defense of the Wildcats held and Calallen won.

Game 2:

Moody and Calallen played to a 0-0 tie. QB Kenneth Rosas fired some good passes, but like the Moody players, they couldn't cross the goal line.

My unofficial count of season scrim. scores: Wildcats 22 opponets 3.
